Very Important Meeting

Do you know that at the winter shelter, at the armory, there is no control of the homeless that have been housed in there since December 1st?

So far 4
sex offenders have been found to have stayed at the shelter, while we have our children playing in the Pacific Park close to where these sex offenders are!

When homeless engage in a fight, workers ask them to leave the armory, where they spend the night wandering around our neighborhood. In fact, the homeless can leave the shelter anytime they want.

It has come to light that policies described by the shelter are not being followed and are actually ignored. Such as:
Sex-offender & violent criminal screening. - ineffective - Only a search of the megan’s law website is done. They don’t even ask the question. All offenders so far have been found by the Burbank Police not the shelter. Thank you Burbank PD
Bus-in Bus-out program. - Barely - Of about 120 people per night, at most 50-60 persons come by bus. The rest are walk-ins. This is completely different than how the program was approved to work.
Helping families and children. - None - No families or children are at the armory. In fact Eimago has a contract with the Sheriff’s Dept and the State Dept. of Corrections to house released prisoners. That’s who is really staying at the armory in our neighborhood.

Due to these concerns, the City of Burbank has set up a community forum on:

Wednesday FEBRUARY 18th
Northwest Branch Library
3323 West Victory Blvd
6PM.
Come to learn the truth and get details about the shelter. Some city council members will be there as well.
Now is the time to voice your opinions on the shelter.

It is very important to take pictures of what you see around the neighborhood, suspicious encounters, even if you see people sleeping in the streets. When you see this activity we’ve been instructed to call the police at
