Weekly reports for the Winter Shelter

It took a little work, but after a few letters and a trip to the City Council we are finally getting the reports on the Winter Shelter. The reports are generally basic and dry, but are useful nevertheless. Special thanks for Burbank City Manager Mike Flad and assistant Krista Kipp for getting these reports to us.

Thus far the reports that I find most interesting are 01-20-09 and 02-03-09. Both report numerous incidents and the discovery of convicted sex-offenders at the shelter.

New reports added weekly!

Neighborhood Watch Program

We’ve had a number of neighbors suggest starting a Neighborhood Watch program. So we made a call to the Burbank PD and set up a time for us to meet with the Police liaison and get a program going in our neighborhood in Burbank. He’ll be here to answer questions, and give advice on how best to monitor our community and insure the safety of our families.

We’re going to meet Wednesday Feb. 11th at 7:00 pm at the home of Bryan and Alicia Blevins. The meeting is open to all those residing in the area around Pacific Park in Burbank.

If you would like to attend: please send an email to bblevins@3dgfx.com or call 818-842-2288. Please leave your Name, Phone #, email, and number of people coming with you.

Community Gathering in Pacific Park this Saturday, Feb, 7th

A lot has happened since our last meeting in the Park. Come by around 2:00 pm and we’ll update everyone with the latest information regarding the Winter Shelter at the Armory. We also want to invite everyone to the upcoming Neighborhood Watch meeting.

Plus we’ll be cooking up some delicious BBQ for everyone who comes by!
