Harrasment and Intimidation

Since beginning this website we’ve heard from a number of neighbors about incidents with strangers. Incidents that before the shelter opened were uncommon in Burbank. One of our neighbors recently sent us an email briefly describing recent incidents and how they made her feel.
Please see the attached photo. This was taken one early morning as I was leaving my home with my teen son. I was hackled by these guys who just happen to be rolling by in the middle of MY street! They stayed in front of my house until I went in. I had time to go in, look for my camera and they were still hanging out in front of my house. Then of course I got really scared because they turned around right when I took the photo. Not the sight I wish to wake up to. If that was the case, I would have paid significantly less for a home near Skid Row.
I am a good, charitable person. I believe that we should help the poor and the destitute. I just think that the City is completely illogical for placing this shelter nears our schools, our parks and our homes.
Yes, you may certainly post the photo on your site. As long as I have lived here, I've never had and encounter of this nature. If they were just walking by the street it would have bother me but not concerned me; however, the fact that they were teasing me and heckling me, made me feel very unsafe.
As far as the PETCO incident, they were several people who were approached as they were leaving. In my case, because I was parked while my son ran in, the vagrant man came all the way to my window to ask for money. That too was very uncomfortable, specially because I knew that any minute my son was coming to my car and may have been in the way of danger. You just don't know!
In any case, I will definitely call the police. I realize that I do have a reason to be concern and I am not overreacting.
This occurrence is OUTRAGEOUS! No one should ever be intimidated and made to feel afraid on their own street and in their own house. If anyone has information regarding this two men, please send the information to us so that we may forward it to the police.
