The City of Burbank and the Burbank Veterans Commemorative Committee Presents Larry L. Maxam Memorial Park Dedication Ceremony

Burbank, CA (April 2010) –The City of Burbank and the Burbank Veterans Commemorative Committee presents the renaming of Pacific Park in honor of Corporal Larry L. Maxam, Medal of Honor Recipient. The unforgettable ceremony will include entertainment, unveiling of the new park signage, words from local and State dignitaries and the support of the United States Marine Corp. The Dedication Ceremony will take place Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at Pacific Park located at 3715 Pacific Avenue.
Larry L. Maxam attended Emerson Elementary School, John Muir Middle School and Burbank High School. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor by President Richard Nixon for his “conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty.”
